Ritz Carlton Hotel

CAIRO, EGYPT

Client:  Misr Hotel Company

With:  WZMH Architects

Completion:  2012

Located adjacent to the Nile River and the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, the former Nile Hilton Hotel is an iconic modern building set to undergo a major renovation and addition. Quinn Design Associates was retained to redesign the hotel grounds to reflect its classic international architectural style and provide a series of exciting landscape areas.

The plan calls for a formal arrival plaza and a courtyard featuring a grid of palm trees combined with a water feature that flows to the adjacent swimming pool. Responding to the need to accommodate large wedding parties, we introduced a formal lawn area and oasis-like garden with a pavilion to serve as a destination point for photography. A central water feature, adjacent to the grand entrance to a proposed ballroom, is the inspired focal point of the space.
